Fun. Spontaneous. Joyous. Just a few words to describe Trevohn and Luanshya’s wedding. Have a look here…
How did you meet?
At Dasen’s 21st party , he is my neighbour and Trevohn’s good friend , even one of the grooms men for our wedding. It is actually a funny story , I did not plan on attending as it was during my final year exams , when I got to the party I noticed him 😀 I mean who wouldn’t , his height and gorgeous smile caught my attention. He never actually spoke to me during the party instead struck a conversation with my sister, Rochelle. I think it was a calculated move on his side, that is who he is , and everyone who knows him would agree with me. Towards the end of the party we got chatting but never exchanged numbers , however in our conversation that night he said something to me ,his words were, “I’m afraid of you” and when I asked why he never told me. A month later apparently after dreaming about me , I received an sms while packing my luggage bag for our family holiday to Egypt which was in the next two days, stating “I’m still scared of you and I’d like to tell you why” , there was no name in his sms and I didn’t know his number , but I knew who it was, so I replied saying “Trevon” yes we both spelt each others name incorrectly …damn silent letters… anyways we met briefly the day before my trip were I got my explanation, and then he decided to ask me out via a call before my flight could take off , I said YES , and was away for 9days , when I arrived back to SA , the rest is History.
What is your most special memory of your wedding?
Our vows , we had been through a lot over the past few years , with our ‘long distance’ relationship. I got emotional but luckily held back the tears even Trev, but he will not admit it.
What was the hardest part of the planning process?
I would say planning from Joburg for Durban, whenever we were in Durban we had very limited time to see many different service providers , we were constantly late for many appointments , and Trev hates been late.
Did you experience any unexpected turns during the wedding process and how did you handle it?
Everything ran ahead of schedule and according to Trev there was a contingency plan even for that. Although Vashnie kidnapped us for a quick retinue shoot :D, everything still ran ahead of schedule.
Any advice for brides-to-be?
All the stress about everything going wrong is not true , our wedding was not like that , just plan ahead and enjoy your wedding day.
Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently?
For me there is nothing I would have done differently but Trev says he would have lost more weight 😀
