So I might be 4 months behind schedule but I’ve finally got around to blogging 2013 weddings! Achievement (yay). Currently working on the editing backlog which I am finally slaying! Okay enough about me…. I couldn’t have picked a better wedding or a better couple to kick off my 2013 wedding photography experience with. Sanjeev and Chandika you guys were a dream to work with. Here’s a peek at their special day…
How did you meet?
We have been acquaintances for 11 years. 5 years ago we randomly met and decided to take our friendship to another level. From being Facebook friends for a whole year and only deciding to go on a date after that, it has definitely been magic all the way.
What is your most special memory of your wedding?
Chan: For me it has to be Sanjeev applying my Sindhoor. I had looked forward to that moment more than anything and it turned out to be more special that I had ever expected.
Sanjeev: For me it had to be when I saw Chandika walking down the aisle, she looked so gorgeous I was in awe!
What was the hardest part of the planning process?
Being in Johannesburg and planning a wedding that will be in Durban, it’s definitely not an easy job but if you choose the right service providers it makes such a difference and of course having our moms in Durban. Special thanks have to go to, Subashni for doing such a great job with our stage, Eresh for coordinating your catering team so well and Kamal your music was fantastic.
Did you experience any unexpected turns during the wedding process and how did you handle it?
None, everything went off smoothly
Any advice for brides-to-be?
Chan: Everything falls into place no matter how much you stress about it. It is your day so make sure that everything is perfect for you. If there are any glitches, remember that nobody else will notice the changes except you. Enjoy every moment of being a queen for a day!
Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently?
The day goes by so fast and we both wish we could have savored every moment but it’s not possible. Photos and videos help revive the special memories. Thanks Vashnie you were just awesome!!!
